Workforce Innovative and Opportunities Act (WIOA)

Project R.E.S.P.E.C.T. – St. Louis County WIOA Older Youth Education and Employment Program serves 65 youth between the ages of 19 - 21. Youth are either school dropouts or high school/GED graduates that are not employed. All youth must meet the classification of low income as determined by WIA guidelines as directed by St. Louis County DHS/DWD and meet at least one of seven outlined barriers which are: Low income, deficient in basic literacy skills, school dropout, homeless, runaway, or foster child, pregnant or parenting, offender and clients who need assistants to complete education programs to secure employment.
