Marquette’ King Connor currently serves as senior Director for the Youth Family, and Clinical department at Better Family Life, Inc. Prior to being promoted to director, she served as, a Teen Pregnancy Prevention Educator certified in Making Proud Choices, Promoting Health Among Teens, Reducing the Risk, and Sisters Saving Sisters where she served as coordinator. Additionally, she is licensed to be an after-school and summer camp coordinator. Marquette’ has been working with children most of her professional career and currently holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology from Saint Louis University and a Master’s degree in Professional School Counseling from Lindenwood University. Marquette’ has been able to take the classroom experience she gained through her work in St. Louis Public School and use in her multi-faceted classrooms throughout several school districts teaching TPP. This experience also provided her an opportunity to give a presentation at our annual conference held in 2013, Scottsdale, Arizona on Classroom Management.
Marquette’ currently serves as the coordinator for our Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). Prior to becoming employed in the field of education through St. Louis Public Schools, Marquette’ worked in corporate America at what is currently Bank of America, as well as a retail manager.
Marquette’ is a dedicated member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., where she has held several offices, worked on and chaired several committees on both the regional and international level and currently serves as Chaplain for her chapter. In 2017, her chapter named her "Soror of the Year".
